SharePoint Syntex is Automatating content understanding to help you intelligently categorize content, extract information, and automate processes.
Follow below mentioned steps on how you can avail add on license for Syntex,
Navigate to Microsoft 365 admin centre > Billing > Purchase Services > Search for SharePoint Syntex like shown in Fig 1.1, avail for purchased license or you can avail for free 30 days trial
Once you avail for a SharePoint Syntex add on service, navigate to Microsoft 365 admin canter > Licenses > SharePoint Syntex license and assign this license to the required user.
Now once you have the licenses assigned it’s time to Set up Syntex in your tenant, For set up, navigate to Microsoft 365 admin centre > Set up > Automate content understanding as shown in Fig 1.2
Click on Automate content understanding then click on get started to start the setup. You will be redirected to a screen like shown in Fig 1.3
As shown in Fig 1.3 make the required configurations for Form Processing then click on Next to configure Document Understanding
Document understanding will create a content center site where site users with appropriate permissions can create document understanding models. As shown in Fig 1.4 give a content center site name, then click on next to review the configurations
Click on Review and review all the changes then click on Activate for SharePoint Syntex configurations to apply
In few minutes, once your activation is completed you will see the details of your content center site as shown in Fig 1.5. Then click on content center address to check out content center site created for you
SharePoint Syntex content center site will look like as shown in Fig 1.6 now you can start creating document understanding models from this site.
This completes your SharePoint Syntex – Document Understanding model set up. Admins can also go to the admin center and manage the configurations as shown in Fig 1.7
