Introduction
Microsoft Safe-Link is a feature for Office 365 that provides URL checking and rewriting of inbound email messages in mail-flow. It also offers time-of-click verification of URLs and links in mail messages and other locations. Safe link scanning can help to protect your organization from malicious links used in phishing, and other attacks.
In this article, I have explained Microsoft 365 safe link creation using the Microsoft Defender feature.
Step 1
First, navigate in your Microsoft Defender to Policies & Rules and Threat Policies.
Step 2
Select the Safe-Link option here.
Step 3
Now you can create the Safe-Link policy here.
Step 4
You can put any name down for the policy. In my case, I have created a Safe Link and clicked Next.
Step 5
You must select your verified domain name here. Click Next.
Step 6
Please mark the appropriate checkboxes and click Next.
Step 7
Select Use the default notification text and Next
Step 8
Once you review the configuration, Submit it.
Step 9
I have successfully created my Safe-Link policy with Priority 0 (Zero means that its priority will be high).
Step 10
Now, navigate to Reports Email & collaboration URL protection report so you can analyze the report simply.
