Introduction
Deploying a virtual machine is quite simple but tricky at the same time; in this article, we will see how to deploy a VM in simple steps.
Step 1. Sign in to the Azure portal
If you are new and not so informed about Azure, you can always try the free tier, experience Azure, and know which plan suits you best.
You have to sign into Azure using credentials.
Step 2. Create a Virtual Machine
To create a VM, navigate to the add button in the Azure portal; it will launch you to create a new VM window, where the details of the VM should be configured; this differs based on the requirements of the user.
Then click add button. This will launch you to create the virtual machine.
Step 3. Select a Base Image for the Virtual machine
In the "Basics" tab in the portal, you need to select a base image for your virtual machine. You have options to choose from, including those based on Windows and Linux operating systems.
Step 4. Choose a Virtual machine Size
After this, you must choose a VM size that meets your requirements. Azure has a large number of sizes and memory options for processing CPU where you can select and run.
Step 5. Configure Networking
There will be a networking tab where you have to configure the network settings for the VM, such as virtual machine subnet, network, IP address settings, etc.
Step 6. Management Option
same as above, you will see a management option where you have to configure management information such as the name of the Virtual Machine, admin credentials, boot diagnostics, etc.
Step 7. Review + Create
we are almost done with the process of creating the VM; check the details which you have provided. If everything looks good, click the review and create button, this will initialize your Vm creation.
Step 8. Access Your VM
Once your VM is deployed, you can access your virtual machine; you can check this status in the notification button on the navigation bar of your Azure account.
Conclusion
Creating and deploying your Vm may look like a difficult process, but follow these steps in order, and you will have created your VM in the end, Don't forget to experiment with using your account and keep an eye on the cost of resources too.
