In this article, we will discuss how to use "Enlighten Aquarium" to create our own custom visual in Power BI.
Enlighten Aquarium Visual is just like telling a story about your data. Time has come to push the traditional boundaries used for the visualization of data. Enlighten Aquarium provides us a fun way of interpreting our data.
So, let’s get started. Follow the below steps,
Step 1
Open your Power BI tool.
Step 2
Go to the "Visualizations" pane, click on three dots (…), and click "Import from stores".
Step 3
It will open a window pane displaying so many free custom visuals. Click on "Add" for Enlighten Aquarium Custom visuals. Refer the below screenshot.
Step 4
Once added, the visual will appear on "Visualization" pane, as shown in the below figure.
Step 5
Select the data source from "Get Data" option. Once the data is imported, it will reflect on the right side in the Fields section.
Step 6
Choose the "Enlighten Aquarium" visual and select "fields". Here, I have used two visuals - Enlighten Aquarium and a table where this depicts the LOP and Labour welfare fund by designations. Here, I have chosen Designation, LOP, & Labour welfare fund fields.
Step 7
Save your Power BI visual and publish it. It will represent your data in an aquarium form. Refer the below screenshot for a visual.
So, in Power BI, you can represent your data in a fun way using "Enlighten Aquarium" in Power BI.
