The Power Apps studio default version is set based on the environment location and the refresh cadence, and this version will update automatically when a new update is released.
You can change this authoring version of the canvas apps in the Power platform environment to an earlier version or the later version available for your environment.
Follow the below steps to view and change the authoring version in the Canvas App.
Pre-Requisite:
- Click on the below article link and create a Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome Profile.

Or
Use your existing Power Apps Credentials.
Follow the below steps after the Prerequisites.
Step 1. Click here to Open Power Apps Maker Portal in the new browser profile created in the Prerequisites.

Step 2. Choose the required Environment.
Step 3. Click on Blank App.
Step 4. Click on Blank canvas app – Create.
Step 5. Provide the App name and Choose the Format. Click on Create.
Step 6. Click on Settings.
Step 7. Click on Support.
Step 8. You can see the Authoring version. Click on Edit.
Step 9. Click on the Authoring version drop-down to view the list of all available versions.
You can see the Authoring version (recommended), which is the stable version.
Versions above the recommended version are the available versions with the latest Preview and Experimental features.
Versions below the recommended version are the older versions.

Step 10. Choose the latest Authoring version and click on Reload + Apply version.
Note. Make sure to use the recommended version in Power Apps and use the latest versions to try the latest features and do not use them in production.
Step 11. Click on Save to save the app.
Once the canvas app is saved, you can start using the app with the selected Authoring version’s features.
Note. If you choose to restore the app to a previous version, you will lose the changes (any) made between your latest and previous canvas app versions.
