You can delete a resource in Azure from Azure Resource Manager in Azure Portal. You can also delete all Azure resources or selected Azure Resource Groups or one Azure Resource group from the same page.
To delete a resource in Azure or delete a resource group in Azure, follow these steps.
Step 1
Go to your subscription and click on Resource groups in the settings. You can also use the search box and type resource groups.
You will see a list of all resource groups available.
Step 2
Find a resource group and click on the resource group name that you want to delete resources from or delete the resource group itself.
Step 3
Click on the resource group name.
To delete a resource group, select Delete resource group link.
Clicking on Delete resource group link will ask for a confirmation. You must type the resource group name in the text box and confirm. You can see there is a list of all resources belonging to the selected resource group. By deleting a resource group, you also delete all resources belonging to this resource group.
As soon you type the resource group name, you will see the Delete button is enabled.
By clicking the Delete button you will delete the resource group.
Step 4
To delete a resource, select one or more resources in the list and you will see there is a Delete link available.
Clicking on Delete link will pop up the below dialog where you will have to enter “yes” to confirm.
Once you type “yes”, you will see the Delete button is enabled.
To delete selected resources, click on the Delete button.
Alternatively, you can delete individual resources from the resource details page. Click on a resource and go to the resource details page. Click on Delete link.
Before you can delete a resource, it will ask you to type the resource name, App name in this case.
Once you type the app name, you will see the Delete button is enabled.
Click the Delete button to delete this Azure resource.
