Introduction
In this article, you will learn what are cookies, different types of cookies, and how to clear cache or delete cookies in chrome.
Cookies
Cookies are websites you visit that produce files. By storing browsing information, it facilitates your online experience. With Cookies, you can retain a record of your website preferences and provide local content. You may also access cookies.
Two kinds of cookies are available,
- The site you visit will produce first-party cookies. The website is shown in the address bar.
- Other sites create third-party cookies. Some of the material you see on the web page you visit, such as advertisements and graphics, is on these websites.
HTTP Cookie
The HTTP cookies are little pieces of data produced by a web server when a user browses a website and is deposited on the user's computer or other devices via the web browser. These are cookies (also called web cookies, or just cookies). Cookies are stored on the device used to view a website and may be set on a device used during a session with more than one cookie.
Authentication Cookie
Web servers often employ authentication cookies to validate that a user has logged in and is logged in with their account. Without the cookie, users should log in to each site that has sensitive information to which they desire to access to authenticate themselves. As a general rule, the safety of an Authentication cookie depends on the safety of the publishing site and the web browser of the user, and the encryption of cookie information. Security flaws may allow an attacker to read a cookie's contents, exploit it in order to obtain user information, or access the website that the cookie belongs to (using the user's credentials).
