How to Create OU and Users Create in Server

Introduction

In this article, I’m going to show how to create OU (Organizational Unit) and user creation in a proper and easiest method. Before that need to clarify why we going to create OU and USER.

OU (Organizational Unit)

An OU is a container within a Microsoft Windows Active Directory (AD) domain that can hold users, groups, and computers. It is the smallest unit to which an administrator can assign Group Policy settings or account permissions.

USER: When you add a user account, the assigned user can log on to the network, and you can give the user permission to access network resources such as shared folders and the Remote Web Access site. Windows Server Essentials includes the Add a User Account Wizard that helps you Provide a name and password for the user account, Define the account as either an administrator or as a standard user, select which shared folders the user account can access, specify if the user account has remote access to the network, select email options if applicable, assign a Microsoft Online Services account (referred to as a Microsoft 365 account in Windows Server Essentials) and Assign user groups.

Step 1. On your server dashboard click “Tools” and click “Active Directory Users and Computers”.

Step 2. Right-click on your domain name “New” then click “Organizational Unit”.

Step 3. Type your “Organizational Unit” name after that click “Ok”.

Now your “Organizational Unit” has been created I’m going to create the user.

Step 4. Right-click on your created “Organizational Unit” after clicking “New” then click “User”.

Step 5. Now you can fill in user data based on your requirement after clicking next.

Step 6. Give your 8-digit password character using special simples, after that, you have some special permission on user create select your needs after that click next.

Step 7. Click finish.

Step 8. After creating you can see your “Organizational Unit” with “User” Now you can customize users and OUs.
