Introduction
In this article, I’m going to show you how to create and configure DHCP scope in a proper and easiest method. Before that, we need to plan what kind of IP address we are going to use. Here, I used the class “C” address. This part is fully configuration with DHCP. Do you want to know how to install part of DHCP? Step 1. Before starting, please check your server’s IP address from “CMD Prompt” using the “IPCONFIG” command and confirm that your server IP is based on static IP and also that the server IP is going to use the DHCP scope.
Here, you can see the server’s IP, so I chose 192.168.1.1 – 192.168.1.254 based on the address to the DHCP scope.
Step 2. On your server’s dashboard, click the Tools option, then click DHCP.
Step 3. Select IPV4 and right-click. After that, click New Scope.
Step 4. After that, you can see the scope wizard and click next.
Step 5. Here, give your Scope Name after clicking next.
Step 6. Give your selected IP scope here I gave start IP 192.168.1.1 to end IP192.168.1.254 IP scope. After that, click next.
Step 7. In this step, you can delay some IPs for reservations. Here, I chose 192.168.1.30. After that, click Add and click Next.
Step 8. Here, you can set IP duration or leave default after clicking next.
Step 9. Click next.
Step 10. Give your router’s IP address (default gateway) after click add and then click next.
Step 11. In this step, your server’s IP automatically appears after that click next.
Step 12. Click next.
Step 13. Click next.
Step 14. Click finish.
Step 15. After that, double-click IPV4, and you can see our scope running in a proper manner.
