Introduction
Salesforce is a cloud-based CRM software company. This CRM software contains user roles features for adding new users, assigning permissions, managing approval, individual work, etc. It's all done through user roles in the Salesforce Lightning platform.
In this article, you will learn how to create a new user in the Salesforce Lightning platform.
Prerequisites for Creating User
You need to
sign up for a free Trailhead Account.
Step 1
Login to the Trailhead account and launch Trailhead Playground.
Step 2
Click the setup gear icon and click the Setup option to enter a Lightning platform setup page.
Step 3
In the Quick Find search bar you can enter “User” and then click the User form at the bottom of the suggestion menu.
Step 4
Some user lists are shown on the users page. Click the New user button to create a new user.
Step 5
In the user creation page, first you can fill in general information about the user, including First Name, Last Name, Email, Username, Alias, User lLcense, Profile etc…
If you are able to fill in all general information about the user, scroll down to fill in the next section.
Step 6
Next, you can fill in the mailing address of your home and then finally, tick the checkbox [Generate Password and Notify User Immediately].
Click the save button.
Step 7
You successfully created a New User in Salesforce Trailhead Playground. Next, you will check your given Email id. Salesforce sends mail for setting passwords for created users.
Step 8
That mail will come from
[email protected]. Open it and then click the Verify Account button. Afterward you are redirected to a page to change your password.
Step 9
Set your password and answer a security question and then click the Change Password button. Your password is now successfully updated in the Salesforce database.
