File requests allow you to request files from other users in your OneDrive without exposing the other files.
If you request files from 10 different people, they will get a link that will allow them to only upload the file. The user cannot see the existing files or the files uploaded by other users.
To enable this feature,
Step 1
Enable Anyone links for OneDrive. You can enable this from the SharePoint admin center. OneDrive Sharing cannot be more than SharePoint which enforces you to enable Anyone links for SharePoint.
Step 2
Enable View, edit and upload for Anyone links.
How to use request files from users
Open your OneDrive and select any folder and choose the “Request files” button in the menu
You can copy the link and send it separately to the users or send them an email directly.
When the users will open the link you sent to them, they will be asked to upload the files and provide their first name and last name.
You will see the files uploaded to your OneDrive folder below. The files will be uploaded as a Guest contributor and the user’s first name and last name will prefix in the file name.
Please be careful before enabling this feature in your tenant because it is a tenant-level setting. It requires you to enable anyone links for folders with edit permissions in SharePoint. If a user shares anyone's links for a folder, it will be accessible in public without needing any authentication.
