For tracking emails in your Gmail account from inside CRM 2013/2016, you can do that by configuring your email router to connect to Gmail using POP3.
There is a list of steps which we have followed for configuring our Gmail in MS Dynamic CRM.
Step 1
Go to Settings - Email Configuration- New
Step 2
Go to service, check whether Microsoft Dynamic Service Unzip Service is Running or not.
Step 3
Search Microsoft Dynamic CRM Email Router Configuration Manager tool, Double click and run it.
Step 4
Create New, Email Router Configuration profile, fill in the data for incoming email profiles,
Save and close it.
Step 5
Fill up the data for outgoing Email profiles.
Save and publish it for both incoming and outgoing Profiles.
Step 6
Find the organization name
Step 7
Go for the Deployment part, similarly create new Deployment,
- Choose Microsoft Dynamic CRM Online.
- In the Microsoft Dynamic CRM Server, the server name is your organization's CRM Server name.
- For Access Credential, choose Other Specified.
- Default Configuration Profiles
For Incoming Configuration Profile - Incoming
For Outgoing Configuration Profile - Outgoing
Then click ok and close it.
Step 8
Deployment profile is created.
Step 9
- After that go to Setting - Go to Email Configuration.
- Select Your Email Configuration Record.
- In the Email address field – enter the email address of the user.
- After Entering email – Click on Approve Email in the top bar.
- In the credential section, select yes- and enter your email username and password
- Next go to the the Synchronization Method section below screenshot information.
- After entering the details, click on Save and Test and Enable the mailbox.
- After Testing and Enabling the mailbox, press CTRL +R to Reload the page.
And you should able to see a success page
- Once it's successful, save and close it.
- Process complete.
