Displaying a Dynamics CRM Dashboard in Unified Service Desk (USD)

In the Unified Service Desk (USD), you can display a Dynamics CRM dashboard. This guide shows how to display the Customer Service Representative Social Dashboard in USD.

Step 1. Determine the URL of the Dynamics CRM Dashboard

First, find the URL of the CRM dashboard you want to use. For this example, we’ll use the Customer Service Representative Social Dashboard. Navigate to the dashboard in Dynamics CRM and copy its URL.

Step 2. Access Through a Toolbar in USD

  1. Open the Main Toolbar
    • Go to the Toolbars section in USD.
    • Open the existing Main toolbar.

  2. Add a New Button
    • Click to add a new button.
    • Name the button appropriately.

    • Save the toolbar to enable the Actions section.

Step 3. Add a New Action

  1. Create a New Action
    • Add a new action.
    • Select Dashboard as the Hosted Control.
    • Select Navigate as the Action.

  2. Set the Data: Enter the URL of the CRM dashboard in the Data field.

Step 4. Link the Action to the Toolbar Button

Step 5. Configure the Dashboard Hosted Control

Ensure the Dashboard Hosted Control is set to "Application is Global" to allow it to open outside of a session.

Step 6. Test in USD

Open USD and click the new toolbar button to open the Customer Service Representative dashboard.
