Introduction
Salesforce provides two different lightning platform accounts to test our Hands-on challenges in the salesforce platform. These platforms are “Trailhead Playground” and “Developer Edition”. Both types of platforms have the same feature like App exchanges, user accounts and Admin modifications. But “Developer Edition” contains customizations, it looks like a company side usage. It provides an unique URL and with more admin controls.
In this article, I will demonstrate how to create a Salesforce developer edition account and connect with our “Trailhead Org”.
Prerequisites
Before starting this process, you must sign up on the Salesforce Trailhead lightning platform. Click here to

Step 1

Give our details like first name, last name, email id, role, company, country, postal code and username. Fill in our username like “
[email protected].” and then click the “Sign me up” button.
Step 3
After clicking the “Sign me up” button, verification mail can be sent to our given Email id. Login and check your Email.
Step 4
Open your received the verification email from salesforce click the “Verify Account” button to verify our created developer account.
Step 5
Next, it's taken to the “change Your Password” page. Give your new and confirmed password and answer the security question. Then click the “Change Password” button.

Our Developer edition account is created, next we will connect with our trailhead org. click the profile badge at right top corner of your screen. Copy the link below your name.

Login to trailhead platform and click the profile badge icon at top right corner of your page and then click the “Hands-on-org”.

In the hands-on-org page, my already created playgrounds are listed, now we are adding our created developer edition account. Click the “Connect an org”button.

Next, it will take to a login page. Click the “Use Custom Domain” link.

Paste the copied domain name from developer account and then click “Continue” button.

Enter your Developer edition username and password and then click the “Login” button.

In the next page, Trailhead asks permission. Click the “Allow” button.
Step 13
Click the “Yes! Save it” button to connect with the Hands-on org.
Step 14
Our developer edition account will successfully be added in our trailhead hands-on-org.

Click the developer user name in hands-on-org.
Summary
Already, our developer edition is logged in your browser. So, it directly goes to a developer account. We have successfully created and added our developer edition in trailhead org.
