Prerequisites
What is Windows VM?
A virtual machine (VM) is an operating system (OS) or application environment that is installed on software, which imitates dedicated hardware. The end user has the same experience on a virtual machine as they would have on specialized equipment.
Follow the steps to create the Windows Server 2016 VM,
Step-1

Step-2
Click "+New" and Select "Compute" then Choose followed by "Windows Server 2016 Datacenter".
Step-3
Enter the required Virtual machine Information on the Basic blade, then remember the username and password that is used to log in to the VM.Then press OK.

Then you may receive the certificate and press "Yes" to establish the connection.
Step-6
Our VM connection is initialized and shown on our Local Machine. Then open the System Configuration that shows our Configuration of our VM.

Open the File Explorer; then you see our Local disk space is low.We need to expand the OS Disk. Our Default Os drive has 127GB space only. It is possible to expand the disk and also the addition of a disk is also possible.
Follow the steps to Expand the OS Disk,
Step-8
Return to our Azure Portal and open our VM Properties then Press Stop to Stop our VM.
In our VM Resources blade, Choose the Disk on the left side ribbon of our VM and click the Disk.
In the Size field, Enter the disk space you wanted and then Press Save.
