Introduction
Hey there, blockchain enthusiasts! Blockchain technology is revolutionizing industries with secure, transparent transactions. But setting up a blockchain subnet has always been complex, right? But what if I told you there’s a way to do it without writing a single line of code?
In my previous article, which was about Avalanche Subnets we dove deep into what subnets are and how Avalanche subnets work. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend checking it out for a solid foundation on the topic.
In this guide, I'll show you how easy it is to create and connect to a subnet using AVA Cloud and create our own subnet using no coding, just simple steps. Later we will connect the subnet to our wallet also. So are you ready to dive in? Let’s get started!
But first, let's know what AVA Cloud is.
What is AVA Cloud?
AVA Cloud is an online platform allowing users to launch and customize their own blockchain accessible to everyone, just using the browser. Its purpose is simple: to let you create, manage, and connect to blockchain subnets without the usual hassle and coding.
Let’s talk about some key features that make AVA Cloud perfect for beginners:
- User-Friendly Interface: Everything is laid out clearly, so you don’t need to be a tech expert to navigate it.
- No Coding Required: You can set up and manage your blockchain subnet with just a few clicks.
- Quick Setup: It’s incredibly fast. You can have your subnet up and running in minutes.
- Scalability: Easily scale your subnet as your needs grow, without complicated configurations.
Now, why should you consider using AVA Cloud for your subnet needs? Let's look at some main benefits of using AVA Cloud.
Benefits of Ava Cloud
Some of the main benefits of AVA Cloud are:
- Simplicity: The whole process is straightforward, making blockchain technology accessible even to beginners.
- Time-Saving: Setting up a subnet is quick and hassle-free, allowing you to focus on your projects.
- Cost-Effective: No need to hire expensive developers or spend countless hours learning to code.
- Support and Resources: AVA Cloud offers excellent support and resources to help you along the way.
In short, AVA Cloud takes the complexity out of blockchain, letting you dive into creating and managing subnets with ease. Ready to see how it works? Let’s move on to the next section!
Creating your Subnet
Before we dive into creating your subnet, let's make sure you’re all set with the basics. Here’s what you’ll need:
Prerequisites:
1. AVA Cloud account: Visit AvaCloud and sign up using your email. To sign up click on the Login button at the top right corner of the home page and then navigate to sign up. If you already have an account. Login into that account.
2. You need to create a crypto account using which you will be connecting to Avacloud to deploy the subnet. Now Avacloud supports Core Wallet, so install Core Wallet extension for the browser and set up your wallet.
Now with this, we are ready to start with our subnet creation.
Create your first Subnet
To create your first subnet, log in to the Ava Cloud site to view your subnet dashboard. You will find the screen to appear like the screen shown below:
Here, click on the button at the top right corner which has Create Subnet written on it.
Connect your core wallet with Ava Cloud by selecting it and clicking Approve inside the wallet. This will help you to deploy the subnet.
After you have connected your wallet you can see a pannel to create a subnet. You will be provided with a subnet name, airdrop amount, chain Id, and subnet current symbol, you can either go with that or change it according to your need and then click on the Next button.
You can customize your devnet if needed and then click on Next.
Lastly, confirm all the features and configurations of your devnet and Click on Submit to start with the devnet creation process.
It may take some time to create/deploy your subnet.
After the successful creation of a subnet, you can find that subnet in your dashboard under the My Subnets section.
Now we will add this subnet network to our wallets.
Connecting to Your Created Subnet
In the previous section we created our first devnet, but just creating it is not enough we also need to connect with it and send some transaction
After creating your subnet click on the arrow button to enter the particular subnet dashboard. Visit the Details section to see the subnet connection details.
Click on the Add to Wallet button select the wallet and click Approve to automatically connect your subnet with your core wallet.
If by any chance the button Add to Wallet is not visible or is inactive, then connect to the network manually using the RPC Url, Chain ID, and Currency.
After connecting your subnet to your wallet you will find that the airdrop tokens to be received in your account.
You can now try sending some tokens to any Ethereum address, and it should work fine.
Conclusion
In this article, we have learned how we can create our subnet without using code using Ava Cloud. We've gone from setting up an AVA Cloud account to creating and connecting to our own blockchain subnet, all without writing a single line of code. Using AVA Cloud, you can easily dive into blockchain technology and start exploring its possibilities.
Now it's your turn. Experiment with your subnet, explore the features, and see what you can build. Thanks for following along, and happy exploring!
