Introduction
Through this article, you can learn how to install Dynatrace OneAgent Extension, and Configure Dynatrace OneAgent on Azure Web App service.
What is Dynatrace
Dynatrace, Inc. is a global technology company, listed on the NYSE, that provides a software intelligence platform based on artificial intelligence (AI) and automation to monitor and optimize application performance, development and security, IT infrastructure, and user experience for businesses and government agencies throughout the world.
Step 1 - Add Extension
Go to Web App service and search for extension from left side panel. You need to click on add button to add extension for that web app service.
Once you clicked, you can have option to choose an extension. In the text box search for “Dynatrace” and select it.
After extension selection, you need to accept legal terms.
Note
Do not get scared, it is just legal terms that says, for this extension Microsoft does not guarantee the contribution or purport to grant rights to it.
By clicking “OK” you are accepting the terms.
With this “OK” button click, starts the installation of extension on Web app service, which you have chosen.
Note
Dynatrace OneAgent (Extension) installed, please restart your Web App service.
Now Dynatrace extension is added, to configure, you need to add
- Environment ID
- API Token
These details you can get from IT/ Dynatrace team.
Ready with Environment ID and API Token, then click on Dynatrace OneAgent you will be redirected to a screen with Dynatrace details.
You just need to click on Browse so that will redirect to new screen in which you need to provide the details and click on Install OneAgent.
OneAgent installed, you can enjoy monitoring the logs on Dynatrace. Below is the example,
