Introduction
This article is about processing business card information using AI Builder. We will learn about how automatically process business card information in PowerApps during this session. We just need to take the photo of the business card, scan it in PowerApps, and store this card information in your database. So, now let’s get started!
You need to first login to
PowerApps using your tenant account and click on the AI Builder menu. You can see the Build option inside the AI Builder menu, just click on it and there you can see the option of the Business Card Reader template.
You can also create the blank app and insert the Business Card Reader control to get it started. In this session, we are going to create the app using the template. Click on the Business Card Reader template, you can see the below screen.
There are two options available to create this solution. One is to use an app in PowerApps and another is to us use it in flow if we want to use this in Power Automate. In this session, we are using the PowerApps option to create the app.
We need to consider the following best practices before we proceed to the Business Card Reader AI Builder.
Click on use in an app option and it will automatically build an app for you with Business Card Reader control.
In the next step, we need to capture Business Card information. It adds a few label controls below to the Business Card Reader control.
This way, we can set all the properties of Business Card Reader control and extract the information from it, Further, we can store this information in the database and use it.
