Add and Use Copilot Answer Control in Microsoft Power Apps Preview

Microsoft has released the public preview of the control "Copilot answer control", a new way to add generative AI to our applications.

Using this control, we can easily get the answers to the commonly asked questions on a single click and also, we can easily configure the copilot question to get the answers.

Follow the below steps to insert the control in the Canvas App and the Use cases of this control.

Pre-Requisites

1. Click on the below article link and create a Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome Profile.
2. Create a Profile in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome
3. Click on the below article link to create a Power Apps Trial for 30 days or if you already have a Powers Apps Tenant, skip this step.
4. Create Microsoft Power Apps 30 days Online Trial Version

Follow the below steps after the Pre-Requisites

Step 1. Create a new Canvas App or open an existing Canvas App.

Step 2. Click on Insert and Click on Copilot answer under Artificial Intelligence.

Control is being added to the form.

Step 3. Choose the data source.

I am choosing Accounts.

Note. This control is only available for the Dataverse data source only.

By default, you can see a Question for Copilot – Summarize records and also Title – Summary.

Step 4. Click on the Play button.

Step 5. Click on the button to see the summary of the Accounts table.

Generating output.

Output is,

You can click on the Regenerate button to see the latest summary.

Step 6. Changed the Title and Question for Copilot.

You can see the Sum of the Annual revenue of the active accounts with a simple click of a button.

Note. If you do not see the Control, then change the Authoring version to the latest version. My Power Apps Authoring version is 3.24041.16.
