Introduction
Windows 10 is designed to install new fixes and updates on your machine in the background without you even knowing it. However, the Windows team has been pushing out new fixes and releases rapidly and some of these releases may be faulty.
However, some people may not want all the updates immediately. Windows 10 lets you choose how fast you want new releases installed automatically. Windows Update Advanced options have a setting where you can determine how quickly you want to install and download new builds on your machine.
The fast ring option is for faster builds that may be faulty with bugs and issues. The slow ring is a stable release with fewer issues and problems. The default option in Windows 10 is a slow ring which means only stable versions will be installed automatically.
But if you're one of the enthusiasts that want every minor build, you can change the default slow option from slow to fast.
Go to Windows Updates and click Advanced Options.
On this screen, select Fast from the drop-down.
