Distributed Transactions Under Application Server in Windows Server 2012

Introduction

In today's article you will learn about Distributed Transactions under Application Server in Windows Server 2012.

When we install the Application Server it provides us an option for installing the Distributed Transaction Coordinator (DTC) along with it. If we install the DTC along with Application Server then it automatically configures the DTC to allow Network Transactions. A Firewall is also created by the Application Server that allows the Network traffic to pass to and from the DTC.

Step 1

First of all login to your Windows server 2012 as Administrator, when your sign in is completed Server Manager will be opened automatically, if it doesn't open then you must open it manually.
