Here are the hardware and software details for SharePoint 2016.
Hardware Details
Standalone installation is no longer supported by SharePoint 2016 that was supported in 2013, like installing SharePoint using the Express Edition of SQL Server. In SharePoint 2016, if you want to have a Single Server installation, then you need to first install SharePoint 2016. Then, install SQL Server on the same machine (no Express Edition). The hardware specification is listed below.
Prerequisites
The supported operating systems are Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 10 and now SharePoint is built on .NET Framework 4.5.2.
Software Requirements
SharePoint now needs SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 1 at least for the installation. As before, it only supports the 64-bit edition of SQL Server.
