The C# Corner Kolkata chapter hosted "A Day With Azure" event at Microsoft Office, Kolkata on June 28, 2015. We want to share with you some of the event highlights.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the tremendous speakers and attendees for extending their support. The event was attended by more than 25 developers. Hats off to all the attendees and speakers to make to this event in spite of the tremendous rain.

The event was begun by Abhishek Sur giving an Introduction to Azure where he gave insights on what Azure is and how it can be used in our daily lives. He also demonstrated by creating a Virtual Machine via the Azure Portal.
Then, Nitesh Luharuka explained Azure Websites for the audience. He created an Azure website from scratch and the audience was delighted to see how easy it is to create an Azure website. He also explained about various configuration options present in Azure for Azure Websites.
After this, Kunal Chowdhury explained Mobile Services and Push notifications. He explained various features about it.
Then there was a break of 30 minutes. After the break, we had 2 sessions lined up by Abhishek Nandy and Sumantro Mukherjee. Abhishek gave demos on Machine Learning, Hadoop and how prediction works in Azure.

Finally, Sumantro explained the concepts of Security in Azure, a commitment from the Microsoft side for Azure users and many other interesting facts.
Finally, we had a very interactive Q & A session where every attendee received a Participation Certificate and some goodies were also won by some attendees. A few of the lucky attendees also won $100 Azure passes from Microsoft to try their hands on Azure.







Once again, we would like to thank all the attendees present at the C# Corner Kolkata Chapter and all the speakers for making the event a great success. I hope for even more attendees in the future.
