You can apply zoom-in and zoom-out for your own Word document. Because Word provides this functionality. Zoom-in enlarges the size of text whereas Zoom-out reduces the size of the text.
Here I am going to describe only "Zoom-in" and "Zoom-out" operations.
Zoom just changes the size of the font on-screen without affecting the other attributes. We can apply the zoom operation in several ways described below.
Zoom-in Using View tab
Step 1
Write some simple text in a Word document. Or use "=rand()".
Step 2
Go to the "View" tab and click on the "Zoom" button.
Step 3
The Zoom dialog box opens where you can increase or decrease the font of the text by selecting "Zoom to", which is 100% by default.
Step 4
You can also select the custom percentage. Then click on the "OK" button. Then you will see the effect.
Zoom-in and Zoom-out Using (+) and (-) Buttons
The (+) button is available in the status bar of the Word document. When you click on the (+) button the text size will be increased each time by 10%.
Note: Here in the above declared picture the text font is 196%.
Zoom-in Using (-) Buttons
The (-) button is available in the status bar of the Word document. When you click on the (-) the text size will be decreased each time by 10%.
Note: Here in the above declared picture the text font is 75%.
