Microsoft Word has normal bullet symbols in the form of dots. But if you want to make your bullet symbols more stylish then you can do that. That can improve the contrast in your document.
To change a list's bullet symbol use the following.
Step 1
Select the list that you want to change its bullet for within Home Tab.
Step 2
Now choose Define New Bullet from the bullet drop down list of the Paragraph group.
Step 3
The "Define New Bullet" window will be opened.
Step 4
Now click on the "Symbol" button within the New bullet window.
Step 5
The "Symbol window" appears to choose your desired font from the font drop down list and choose a symbol.
Step 6
Now click on the "Ok" button and see the preview within the "Define New bullet" window.
Note: You can also choose a picture as a list's bullet symbol. To insert a picture as a list bullet use the following procedure.
Step 1
Select the list you want to change its bullet for within the "Home Tab".
Step 2
Now choose "Define New Bullet" from the bullet drop down list of the Paragraph group.
Step 3
The New Bullet window will be opened.
Step 4
Now click on the "picture" button within the New bullet window.
Step 5
A new window will be shown from where you can choose to browse a picture from your hard or download from the web.
Step 6
Now select any one picture show from the Office clip art and click on the "Insert" button. See the preview within the New bullet window.
Note: You can also change the color of the bullet list.
Step 1
Just click the "Font" button within the New bullet window.
Step 2
A new window appear; select "font color drop down list "and select a color to change the color of the bullet.
