Most of the my friends using SharePoint don’t have access to Site Collection settings due to the policy of various companies so they are not able to see the features SharePoint offers on a site collection level.
So I thought, why not put them in an article and for everyone to see the features present on SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 on a site collection level. Here they are.
- Aggregated Business Calendar
This feature displays multiple business calendars in an overlay alongside Exchange and SharePoint calendars.
- Content Type Syndication Hub
This feature provisions a site to be an Enterprise Metadata hub site.
- Cross-Site Collection Publishing
This feature helps to enable a site collection to designate lists and document libraries as catalog sources for Cross-Site Collection Publishing.
- Custom Site Collection Help
This feature creates a Help library that can be used to store custom help for this site collection.
- Disposition Approval Workflow
This feature manages document expiration and retention by allowing participants to decide whether to retain or delete expired documents.
- Document ID Service
This feature assigns IDs to documents in the Site Collection, that can be used to retrieve items independent of their current location.
- Document Sets
This feature provides the content types required for creating and using document sets. Create a document set when you want to manage multiple documents as a single work product.
- Duet End User Help Collection
This feature enables duet End User Help Collection where SAP and Microsoft enables interoperability between SAP applications and SharePoint Server.
- Duet Enterprise Reports Content Types
This feature defines the fields and content types that will be used by Duet Enterprise Reports.
- In Place Records Management
This feature enables the definition and declaration of records in place in the records management sites.
- Library and Folder Based Retention
This feature allows list administrators to override content type retention schedules and set schedules on libraries and folders.
- Limited-access user permission lockdown mode
When this feature is enabled, permissions for users in the "limited access" permissions level (such as Anonymous Users) are reduced, preventing access to Application Pages.
- Open Documents in Client Applications by Default
This feature configures links to documents so they open in client applications instead of Web applications, by default.
- Project Server Approval Content Type
This feature enables this content type to be used by the Project Server Approval workflow.
- Project Web App Permission for Excel Web App Refresh
When this feature is active, users can refresh reports containing Project Web App data within Excel Web App.

This feature contains the ribbon controls for Project Web App pages.

This feature enables the project Web App PMO Settings.
- Publishing Approval Workflow
This feature routes a page for approval. Approvers can approve or reject the page, reassign the approval task, or request changes to the page. This workflow can be edited in SharePoint Designer.
- Reporting
This feature creates reports about information in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation.
- Reports and Data Search Support
This feature provides content types, site columns, and library templates required to support Reports and Data Search in the Enterprise Search Center.
- Sample Proposal
It helps users to understand more about many of the new features found within Project Server Workflows.
- Search Engine Sitemap
This feature improves the search engine optimization of a website by automatically generating a search engine sitemap on a recurring basis that contains all valid URLs in a SharePoint website. Anonymous access must be enabled to use this feature.
- Search Server Web Parts and Templates
This feature will add the Search Server Web Parts and Display Templates to your site. The search will work on most sites without this feature being activated, but if you get a message about missing templates when searching, then activate this feature.
- SharePoint 2007 Workflows
This feature will aggregate set of out-of-box workflow features provided by SharePoint 2007.
