Introduction
Question: What is a calendar?
In simple terms "It enables selection of any dates and addition of any tasks for any specific dates. We also have an option to overlap between different calendars in SharePoint 2010".
I think we are now good to go and implement this wonderful concept.
Step 1: Open SharePoint 2010 Central Administration.
Step 2: Navigate to "Site Actions" -> "More Options...":.
Step 3: Select "Calendar" from the listed categories.
Step 4: Give a name for the calendar.
Step 5: The calendar is now created; the site looks like this:
Step 6: Adding new task.
Step 7: The task is now created; the site looks like this:
