Convert One Chart to Another Chart in QlikView

Introduction

This article describes how to interchange one chart with another chart. In a previous article, I described

How to create a bar chart in a QlikView application.

In this example I describe how to convert a bar chart to a pie chart. Let's start with converting a bar chart to a pie chart.

Step 1: Properties

The next step is to go to the properties of the bar chart.

Step 2: General window

In the General window select the chart for converting the chart to. The previous bar chart will be selected but now we select another chart type as then click on the OK button.

Example

Suppose here I select a pie chart to convert a bar chart to a pie chart.



Now you will see a bar chart converted into a pie chart.



Step 3: Change style

If you want to change the style of the pie chart then go to the properties of the chart and select the style in the property window and click on the OK button.

Now you will see that the style of pie chart has been changed.

Step 4: Set background color

If you want to set a background color then again go to the properties of the pie chart and select the color tab in the properties window and select background.

When you click on the background color then this window will be opened and select the color.

Then select the color and click on the OK button.



Now you can see that the background color has been changed.



Summary

This article described how to convert a chart to another chart. It is a very simple way. It is very useful because without creating another chart, one chart van be converted into another chart very easily.
