Getting Started with Metro style apps
The metro-style app is a new concept introduced in Windows 8. You can use Visual Studio 11 Beta to build Metro style apps using any supported language such as C#, Visual Basic .NET, C++, and JavaScript. Let's not forget the now Blend supports HTML 5.
So, what do you need to build a metro style app? Well here is the list.
Windows 8 Consumer Preview
Windows 8 developer tools and SDK
Visual Studio 11 Beta
and Blend
Once you have all these ready, you can use either Visual Studio 11 or Blend to build your metro style app.
Windows Store is the gateway
to register and sell your metro style apps. Windows 8 comes with Windows Store similar to Apple iTunes where you can register, upload and start selling your apps.
