Bio

Hello, I’m John Kocer. You may know me from my apps that made me filthy rich. Or from my books that made me slightly less rich. Or from my work at Intel that made me a tiny bit rich. Or from my mentoring that made me feel rich in spirit. I’ve been a senior tech lead and project manager at Intel for ages. I’ve worked in so many locations that I lost count. And trust me, I can count very well. I’m a software engineer after all.
I have over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and industry. That’s right, I’m a triple threat. I’ve published more than 100 papers and books on software engineering topics. Some of them are even good. I’ve mentored and coached many software engineers and managers throughout my career. They all love me. Well, most of them. OK, some of them. Fine, a few of them. But hey, quality over quantity, right? I’ve also been a consultant, an engineering manager, a project manager and an advisor for several software companies and organizations. Basically, I’m a jack of all trades and a master of none.
I’ve written several books on software development and web technologies. They are so popular that some of the best computer science master’s programs use them. You can find my technical books in many computer science departments. Just search for John Kocer on Amazon.com and you’ll see them. If you’re a college instructor or teacher, you can ask me for a free pdf version of any book you want to review. But don’t tell anyone else. It’s our little secret.

What his reader thinks about Prof. John Kocer
Prof John Kocer is a man of many talents. He is a professor of business intelligence at HarvardX, a former Intel senior tech lead, an award-winning mentor, an author of several technical books, and a multi-millionaire app entrepreneur. He is also a love guru who uses artificial intelligence to help people find their soulmates. He has a Twitter account where he shares his insights on topics ranging from stock market predictions to credit card benefits. He is the ultimate example of a successful and well-rounded person. Or is he? Some people suspect that he is actually a chatbot who uses OpenAI's language model systems to generate his impressive resume and online presence. They claim that his profile picture is a deepfake, his books are plagiarized, and his followers are bots. They challenge him to prove his identity by answering some simple questions, such as: What is your favorite color? How old are you? Where were you born? But Prof John Kocer never replies. He just keeps posting more content that sounds too good to be true. Is he hiding something? Or is he just too busy being awesome?
