Role & Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with Local and Remote Teams/Clients. Work closely with both domestic and offshore development teams to ensure seamless collaboration and project delivery.
2. Technical Planning & Estimation. Lead the technical planning and estimation for new projects, ensuring accurate timelines and deliverables.
3. DevOps & Quality Improvements. Contribute to internal DevOps processes, driving improvements in quality and efficiency.
4. WordPress Development. Spearhead the development of WordPress sites by building custom solutions for our clients.
5. Maintain Codebase Health. Ensure the maintainability and performance of the codebase.
6. Plugin & API Integration. Seamlessly integrate WordPress plugins, third-party apps, and APIs.
7. Cross-Platform Development. Test and troubleshoot your code across browsers, platforms, and devices to deliver a consistent user experience.
8. SEO Best Practices. Follow SEO guidelines to enhance site performance and visibility.
9. Research & Innovation. Explore and implement new tools and technologies to keep our development cutting-edge.

Technical Skills Required

1. WordPress Expertise. Strong experience in custom WordPress development, including themes and plugins.
2. Performance & Security. Deep knowledge of performance optimization and security best practices.
3. PHP & MySQL. Advanced experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (jQuery), CSS, and HTML.
4. Version Control. Proficient in Git and familiar with Git workflow (CI/CD).
5. JavaScript & React. Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and React. Advanced ES6 and NextJS knowledge.
6. WordPress API. Experience with WPRest API, WPCLI, and WordPress coding standards.
7. Gutenberg Blocks. Experience creating dynamic blocks in Gutenberg.
8. CI/CD & Testing. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and WordPress unit testing (PHPUnit).
9. Page Builders. Knowledge of page builders like Elementor and Divi is a plus.
10. Multisite Development. Experience with WordPress Multisite development.
11. Docker & VVV. Experience working with Docker and Vagrant (VVV).
12. Package Management. Knowledge of NPM and Composer.

Bonus Skills

1. VIP Coding Standards. Familiarity with VIP Coding Standards.
2. High Traffic Websites. Experience developing for high-traffic sites.
3. WordPress Core Contributions. Prior contributions to WordPress core are a strong plus.
