As a Web Solutions Engineer at Google, you will be a key player in the gTech Analytics, Platforms, and Tools team. This team works closely with Engineering and Product partners to build and maintain tools that improve Google’s internal systems and enhance business efficiency. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to design scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions for Google's global business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Web Development. Design, build, deploy, and maintain modern, scalable, and responsive full-stack web applications. This includes managing backend systems, building data pipelines, and developing UX-rich front-end interfaces.
- Problem Solving & Solution Design. Analyze complex problems, identify dependencies, and resolve issues while ensuring seamless implementation. Develop solutions that are scalable and efficient for large datasets.
- Collaboration & Documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams to write and review technical design documents, unit tests, and code (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL). Ensure that solutions meet the needs of Google’s internal services teams.
- Tool Enhancement & Optimization. Continuously improve and enhance the performance of existing tools and services, ensuring they meet Google’s best practices and high standards.
- Subject-Matter Expertise. Provide technical expertise and contribute to the development of tools and solutions that improve the functionality and efficiency of Google’s business processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or related object-oriented languages.
- 1+ year of experience with front-end programming in TypeScript/JavaScript and working with databases/SQL.

- Engineering Passion. Strong passion for engineering with hands-on experience in unit testing, agile project development, and bug/change management systems.
- Problem-Solving & Flexibility. Ability to provide effective technical solutions to complex business challenges and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
