As a UX Designer 2, you will collaborate with a talented group of researchers, designers, and developers to deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design innovative solutions that simplify complex design challenges, balancing conceptual thinking with precise craftsmanship.
- Develop a deep understanding of user needs through research and translate insights into intuitive product experiences aligned with business objectives.
- Communicate and document design directions effectively to cross-functional teams, senior management, and stakeholders, advocating for user-centered design solutions.
- Collaborate with Design, Research, Program Management, and Engineering teams to deliver seamless end-to-end user experiences across various platforms and input modalities.
- Coordinate with user researchers to conduct testing, interpret results, and integrate findings into iterative design processes. Contribute to foundational research initiatives.
- Utilize and contribute to existing design systems and guidelines, ensuring consistency and scalability. Work closely with developers to implement design visions effectively.
- Uphold and contribute to established design processes, ensuring organizational alignment and adherence to project timelines and goals.
- Foster collaboration and alignment with partner design teams across Microsoft to drive cohesive product visions and outcomes.
Qualifications
- A robust portfolio demonstrating proficiency in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping, showcasing innovative and user-centric solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in product and/or interaction design, with a track record of solving complex design problems and delivering impactful experiences.
- Strong command of UX design principles across information architecture, systems design, workflows, and micro-interactions.
- Experience applying research insights to inform design decisions and drive product development. Ability to leverage data-driven methodologies effectively.
- Excellent storytelling skills to communicate design concepts and generate empathy among stakeholders through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
- High proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe CC, with a willingness to adopt new tools and workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including Research, Product Management, and Engineering. Experience in influencing product vision and enrolling key stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, with a meticulous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
