Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Stakeholders. Work closely with key stakeholders across various business functions to understand and align technology solutions with strategic business objectives.
  2. Requirement Gathering. Collect and analyze requirements from business units, ensuring clear communication and translation of these needs into actionable tasks for programmers and developers.
  3. Cost-Benefit Analysis. Prepare detailed cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to guide decision-making processes regarding system implementation, ensuring that all solutions are both effective and cost-efficient.
  4. Process Improvement. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of business functions to identify, resolve issues, and capitalize on opportunities to enhance business processes.
  5. Multitask on Complex Projects. Work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project meets its deadlines, stays within scope, and adheres to quality standards.
  6. Technical Liaison. Act as the bridge between business teams and IT, ensuring that technical solutions meet user needs. Provide support and guidance to both business and technical teams to resolve any conflicts or challenges.
  7. Documentation & Reporting. Create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documents, user manuals, and process flow diagrams that will be used across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Education. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on analyzing and improving business processes.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a preference for those with knowledge of laboratory medicine and anatomic pathology.

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages to comprehend code and technical processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, as well as strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently under tight deadlines.
  • A quick learner with a positive, can-do attitude, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of business systems and processes, particularly in healthcare and laboratory environments.
  • Experience working on highly complex business processes and understanding how technology can drive operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
