Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Writer with 9+ years of experience, particularly in cloud operations and IT documentation. The ideal candidate will excel at creating and managing Wiki content using platforms like Azure DevOps Wiki and ServiceNow, while collaborating closely with technical teams to produce clear, consistent, and comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Content Transformation & Wiki Management

  • Convert existing Word documents into Wiki formats, ensuring uniformity, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Regularly update and maintain Wiki content to keep it relevant and comprehensive.

Best Practices Validation & Documentation

  • Review existing lists of best practices, ensuring their inclusion in standards documents.
  • Develop and publish Wiki entries for any missing or new content.

Collaboration & Insight Documentation

  • Partner with the cloud operations and enterprise architecture (EA) teams for guidance and validation.
  • Interview team members to capture insights and translate them into structured patterns, diagrams, processes, and procedures for Wiki entries.

Tool Utilization

  • Leverage tools like Azure DevOps Wiki, ServiceNow, Confluence, SharePoint, and Markdown for effective documentation management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Writing Expertise

  • Proven track record as a Technical Writer, preferably within the cloud operations or IT domain.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to clarity, consistency, and detail in documentation.

Cloud Knowledge

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, services, and deployment models.

Technical Collaboration

  • Ability to interview technical experts, capture insights, and translate them into actionable documentation.

Tools Proficiency

  • Advanced experience with Azure DevOps Wiki, ServiceNow, and similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with additional tools like Confluence, SharePoint, and Markdown.

Certifications

  • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or technical writing are advantageous.
