Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer within the CSS team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer success by owning, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues. Responsibilities

1. Response and Resolution

  • Review, investigate, and solve customer technical issues by collaborating within and across teams, utilizing troubleshooting tools and best practices.

2. Readiness

  • Participate in communities with peer delivery roles to enhance technical and professional proficiency through training and readiness activities.

3. Product/Process Improvement

  • Identify potential product defects and provide feedback to senior engineers, contributing to Microsoft product enhancements.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting, or IT experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows System Administration and Configuration, including but not limited to registry, file storage, user accounts, networking (TCP/IP), and performance monitoring.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Desirable Experience in One or More of the Following Areas

  • Automated installation of Windows
  • User profile management
  • Windows Update management
  • Kerberos and delegation
  • Bitlocker administration
  • Remote Desktop Services configuration
  • Clustering
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Active Directory management
  • Network tracing and analysis
  • Group Policy management

Language Qualification

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Strong Experience In Following Technologies

  • Installation, configuring, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems (2008, 10, 2012, 2016) in standalone and server environments.
  • Windows patching and servicing, including troubleshooting patching issues manually and via Windows Update.
  • Windows activation and troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of Bitlocker and MBAM (Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring).
  • Basic knowledge of MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) and WDS (Windows Deployment Services).
