Join the Google Cloud Platform team and help customers transform and build what's next for their business using cloud technology. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you'll serve as an enterprise hybrid cloud subject matter expert, differentiating Google Cloud to customers by showcasing its power and capabilities. You'll engage with prospective customers and partners, helping them understand technical features, design architectures, conduct proof-of-concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and applying cloud-native development methodologies and tools, including container technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservices frameworks, and PaaS.
• Experience with modern software development lifecycle methodologies and tools, including CI/CD, container orchestration, and Day 2 operations.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including software-defined networking, routing, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, and logging and monitoring of hybrid-cloud workloads.
• Experience with large-scale virtualization deployments.
• Understanding of web application security, service mesh, and mobile security strategies.
• Ability to understand complex customer existing software workloads and define a technical migration roadmap to the Cloud reflecting specific customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
• Provide in-depth expertise on enterprise infrastructure/cloud modernization, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and collaboration with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption.
• Guide customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environments, recommending a prioritization roadmap for application modernization and identifying applications for migration to hybrid-cloud computing models.
• Conduct prototyping workshops to validate proposed new architectures, develop best practices, and document key blocking requirements for prioritization with developers.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
