Job Description

Salesforce is seeking an experienced editor to join our global Content Experience (CX) team in India. In this role, you will help shape and refine customer-facing content, ensuring that it’s clear, engaging, and relevant to users. You’ll work closely with writers and other team members to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, user-friendly content that drives product adoption and enhances customer success. Key Responsibilities

  1. Edit Customer-Facing Content. You’ll refine user interface text, help articles, in-app user assistance, release notes, and videos, ensuring that content is concise, simplified, and customer-focused.
  2. Training and Coaching. Provide ongoing training for writers on Salesforce’s style guidelines and writing principles. Help them refine content to ensure it aligns with Salesforce’s brand voice, tone, and style.
  3. Content Structuring. Support the team in organizing content effectively, making complex ideas easier to understand, and improving content presentation.
  4. Maintain Content Quality. Oversee the editorial queue and workflow, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met while upholding Salesforce’s editorial standards.
  5. Collaborate with Writers. Work with new and experienced writers to shape content, providing feedback to improve accuracy, relevance, and engagement.

Required Skills

  1. Experience. Minimum 7 years of professional editing experience, especially in technical content.
  2. Editing Skills. Expertise in editing help topics, release notes, and user-facing content, with a focus on simplifying complex technical information.
  3. Content Management Systems. Experience working with CMS and XML authoring tools.
  4. Feedback and Coaching. Proficient in giving and receiving editorial feedback and coaching writers to improve content quality.
  5. Attention to Detail. Ability to ensure all content meets Salesforce’s style guidelines, including US-English syntax, grammar, and spelling.
  6. Visual Content Evaluation. Ability to evaluate technical content in the context of graphics and video.

Desired Skills

  1. Salesforce/CRM Experience. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM products is a plus.
  2. DITA and XML Authoring. Experience with content structuring in DITA and authoring in XML using Oxygen or other XML editors.
  3. AI Tools. Familiarity with AI-driven writing and editing tools is a bonus.
