As a Tech Lead in AI/ML, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI solutions and mentoring peers, driving innovation within our organization. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example, guiding your team to deliver AI products powered by internal AI models and machine learning pipelines. You will identify opportunities to leverage AI across the organization and set the direction for implementing MLOps processes, ensuring seamless integration of AI technologies into our products. Your leadership will influence the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of Large Language Models (LLMs) and other machine learning applications in production, setting new standards for data quality and model performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Development. Design, develop, and maintain a robust AI/ML platform that ensures high accuracy, security, and speed for all deployed solutions.
2. Technical Leadership. Lead agile workstreams, taking ownership from requirement gathering to actionable planning, enabling efficient team execution.
3. Team Mentorship. Act as a mentor and coach to team members, sharing expertise in architecture, software development best practices, and emerging technologies.
4. MLOps Implementation. Establish and manage key MLOps components, such as CI/CD pipelines, model registries, and input data pipelines, ensuring efficient and scalable workflows.
5. Data Quality Management. Define and implement evaluation criteria for monitoring data quality and tracking production ML model performance.
6. Collaboration Across Functions. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Research, and Engineering, to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into the product ecosystem.
7. Model Lifecycle Management. Develop, deploy, and maintain LLM-based applications, continuously evaluating and improving their accuracy and performance in production.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 6+ years in MLOps, ML engineering, and data science, with at least 2 years leading and mentoring agile teams.
• Proven track record in deploying critical MLOps components like CI/CD pipelines, model registries, and automated data loading.

Technical Expertise

• Skilled in developing and deploying various models, including LLMs, GenAI, and GPT-3.5/4.0, from proof of concept (POC) to production.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS (Amazon Bedrock), Snowflake, and proficiency in Python, SQL, Tableau, and Alteryx.
• Advanced experience with tools like Jupyter Notebooks, Git/GitHub, JIRA, and Weights & Biases, ensuring smooth collaboration and version control.
• Project Management. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and programs, lead small teams (2-5 members), and handle diverse tasks, including data analysis, pipeline creation, and model optimization.
• Domain Knowledge. Significant experience in Private Markets, Financial Services, or FinTech sectors, with the ability to align AI solutions to business needs.
• Research Collaboration. Proven ability to work closely with research teams, contributing hands-on skills to advance project outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Tech Lead role, effectively balancing leadership and hands-on contributions as a player-coach.
• Experience migrating data sets and workflows between legacy and modern data platforms.
• Familiarity with stream processing and event-driven architecture.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile XP, and lean environment, adapting to evolving business needs.
• Strong experience in leading offshore and nearshore teams, fostering collaboration across geographies.
