Function Description
The Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) team manages critical functions at American Express, ensuring responsible growth through effective credit and fraud management strategies.
Purpose of the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to join CFR as an Executive Assistant, supporting the Vice President. We seek a proactive team player with exceptional organizational skills and a positive mindset to thrive in a dynamic environment. This position requires discretion, professionalism, and the ability to interact confidently with senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the VP’s office, liaising with internal teams and external partners.
- Manage VP’s calendar with integrity, navigating across global time zones and proactively resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including logistics such as invitations, audio/video setups, room bookings, and catering.
- Arrange complex travel itineraries (domestic and international), adhering to company policies and coordinating with other travelers.
- Plan and execute events for VP’s direct reports, such as town halls and senior leader visits.
- Participate in team meetings, record accurate minutes, and distribute them promptly.
- Assist in managing VP’s emails, including delegating and acknowledging receipt/replies as necessary.
- Ensure timely preparation and processing of expense reports and invoices.
- Maintain departmental distribution lists and manage inventory and procurement needs.
- Facilitate office moves and manage real estate requirements for the team.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and tasks as directed by leadership.
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience as an administrative assistant supporting senior leadership in a global corporate environment.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, particularly in calendaring and event planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
- Familiarity with Amex platforms (e.g., Concur, Cisco/WebEx, Ariba) preferred.
- Graduate degree preferred.
