Job Description

Mandiant Strategic Services is seeking a motivated Strategic Security Consultant to join our dynamic team of cybersecurity experts. As part of Google Cloud, Mandiant specializes in providing comprehensive cybersecurity solutions to organizations of all sizes. In this role, you will lead and support projects that assess, test, and enhance clients' security programs, providing guidance on best practices and risk management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience in key security program functions, such as cyber defense operations, security architecture, identity and access management, vulnerability management, or cyber risk management.
  • 2 years of experience in cloud security, threat modeling, or detection development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Cloud (e.g., CCSP, CCSK) or other industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
  • Experience in Incident Response, Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, or Enterprise Architecture.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, operating system, and application vulnerabilities, security architecture, and controls.
  • Understanding of technologies used in incident response, network and endpoint architecture, threat modeling, or other SecOps areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with clients at executive and technical levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop roadmaps and recommendations to enhance clients' cloud security architecture, governance, and standards, incorporating best practices such as DevSecOps and Zero Trust design.
  • Perform security configuration reviews for cloud-based SaaS platforms, addressing client concerns, issues, or escalations.
  • Conduct security reviews and maturity assessments across technology and business teams, providing clear risk findings and recommendations.
  • Evaluate client needs, coordinate solution design, and communicate the value proposition of complex technical subjects.
  • Implement or assess existing security controls to mitigate cyber risks effectively.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time as needed.
