About the Role
As a Software Engineer specializing in GoLang, you will be a technical leader and software architect. The role involves understanding business problems, collaborating on software designs, prototyping, and leading feature development within the team. You will also actively participate in discussions with stakeholders, architects, and team members, fostering collaboration and sharing your expertise.

Responsibilities

• Understand business problems and propose software architecture designs.
• Collaborate, discuss, debate, and refine ideas, problem statements, and software designs with stakeholders and team members.
• Proactively prototype and co-implement systems alongside less experienced engineers.
• Share support for critical team systems, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to improvements.
• Occasionally serve as a debugging and implementation expert during escalations of systems issues.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Manager to produce a prioritized team roadmap.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on GoLang expertise and 5+ years of experience with Java.
• 10+ years of overall professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading systems design.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a multiple-stakeholder environment.
• Positive and collaborative demeanor with a love for teaching.
• Proven ability to change opinions and preferred methods based on new evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work at least 4 overlapping US timezone hours.
