Key Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the payments industry, Visa’s vision, and how your contributions will impact the business.
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand critical business initiatives and align BI solutions accordingly.
• Gain expertise in Visa’s BI platforms and continuously explore opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate technical options and provide recommendations on the scope and scale of development efforts for end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations & Infrastructure (O&I), Security, and Data Privacy teams to design and implement secure, scalable BI solutions.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle, ensuring the deployment of high-quality BI platforms that meet business needs.
• Define and contribute to system architecture, create solution documents, conduct code reviews, and perform hands-on coding, unit testing, and production deployments.
• Proactively identify and manage risks at every project stage while working with stakeholders to mitigate potential issues.
• Continuously enhance and refine standards, processes, and systems to improve efficiency.
• Manage access controls, system configurations, and overall health and performance monitoring for BI platforms using usage reports.
• Ensure thorough documentation of BI platform processes, methodologies, and configurations, making information readily available to stakeholders.
• Provide end-user training and ongoing support to maximize adoption and effectiveness of BI solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2 or more years of professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or an advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 2+ years of experience with an advanced degree.
• Proven ability to understand business requirements and independently design and develop large-scale, resilient enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Hands-on experience with the installation and upgrade of enterprise-wide, multi-node self-service BI platforms such as Tableau Server and Power BI Report Server in a high-availability setup.
• Experience in setting up Tableau Online Sites and Power BI Service, ensuring smooth configuration and performance optimization.
• Expertise in implementing governance initiatives for BI platforms, including automation processes to enhance efficiency.
• Experience in developing Tableau Server extensions and utilizing Power BI REST APIs for embedding, administration, governance, and user management.
• Strong knowledge of developing scalable dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Power BI Desktop.
• Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA), particularly in CRM and Financial Analytics Modules, including Procurement & Spend, Spend Classification, AP Transactions, and GL Balance Sheet.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
• Proficiency in building data pipelines and ETL solutions using Big Data open-source technologies.
• Expertise in relational database management systems such as DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Experience managing requests, incidents, problems, and change management processes.
• Ability to provide end-user support and training for BI platforms.
• Certifications in Tableau, Power BI, and OBIEE are a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Knowledge of Generative AI is an added advantage.
• Strong mentoring abilities, with the capability to guide and support junior team members.
