Gartner is seeking a Senior Specialist, Research based in India to join our Sales PPR Research Team. This role exposes researchers to a range of leadership-level strategic and management topics. The ideal candidate will produce written deliverables for Sales leaders using qualitative and quantitative research methods, strong collaboration skills, and clear, compelling business writing. They must be intellectually curious with a desire to rapidly develop "generalist" knowledge. This role serves as a key feeder to careers reaching the highest levels within the firm.
What You Will Do
As a Senior Specialist, Research, you will.
- Synthesize Gartner’s best research to develop fresh, timely insights designed to help senior executives solve critical challenges and elevate their organization’s performance.
- Apply Gartner's proven methodology to identify best practice solutions for today's biggest business challenges.
- Analyze and interpret business problems using primary and secondary research, root cause analysis, benchmarking, and other qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Conduct comprehensive secondary literature searches and spot patterns in data to generate hypotheses.
- Independently create key research deliverables, including white papers, articles, presentations, webinars, guidebooks, and how-to guides.
- Challenge client thinking using solid logical frameworks.
- Support content/product planning by identifying gaps and suggesting topical research ideas.
- Collaborate closely with peers and senior stakeholders in India, the US, and the UK as part of global research initiatives.
What You Will Need
- Master's degree in fields such as MBA, Sociology, History, Finance, Philosophy, or Literature.
- 3-5 years of research and/or management consulting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and relay ideas, engage clients, and work effectively in global teams.
