Job Description

Gartner is looking for well-rounded and motivated developers to join the Marketing Integration/Intelligence team. The team is responsible for developing scalable and secure applications and tools to help Sales and Service delivery associates be more effective and productive. The team follows a 2-week Agile sprint model and works on advanced techniques for high-performance web development, data analytics, and system integration.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, product operations, and architects to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
  • Build and deliver Spring Boot/Batch applications integrating with various databases, AWS Services, and REST APIs.
  • Work with open-source technologies and applications using Java technology in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Follow coding standards, build appropriate unit tests, integration tests, deployment scripts, and review project artifacts created by peers.
  • Create designs and style guides for business requirements.
  • Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements to the user interface, software architecture, or new technologies.

What You Will Need

Must-Have

  • 3.5+ years of relevant experience in Core Java using J2EE, Spring Boot/Batch frameworks.
  • Experience working with relational database technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience working with Stored Procedures and Materialized Views.
  • Experience working with ETLs, Job Schedulers, and Batching/Streaming data.
  • Experience working with the consumption/creation of Restful APIs.
  • Experience working with Git or a similar repository management tool.
  • Strong understanding of OOP principles, design principles, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
  • Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
  • Takes responsibility for the successful delivery of the solutions.
  • Strong desire to improve skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies.
