As a Senior Program Manager within Amazon’s IT Services organization, you will lead complex, medium to large-scale projects aimed at improving operational efficiency. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional initiatives that are critical to the business, potentially on a global scale. This role demands strong leadership skills to collaborate with various teams, communicate effectively across departments, and drive projects from initiation through successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop operational strategies and formulate project proposals to address business needs.
- Lead end-to-end projects across the APAC region, ensuring alignment with regional leadership and stakeholders.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with regional leadership and peers.
- Develop and enhance project management processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and address service enhancements.
- Drive improvements in global programs such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management, focusing on identifying and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with service owners in Enterprise Engineering, Networking, Business Intelligence, and Product Management to influence the development and design of on-premise tooling.
- Utilize your expertise in IT infrastructure and end-user computing to drive operational excellence in a corporate environment.
About the Team
The Global On-Premise team provides essential IT support across various functional areas including In-Person Support, Audio Visual Meeting Room Support, Infrastructure Support, and Incident Management, among others. This role will involve direct engagement with these areas to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications
- 14+ years of professional experience in operations, product development, or asset management.
- 5+ years of relevant business leadership experience, with a track record of setting strategic direction.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of program management experience, managing medium-to-large scale programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, influencing senior business leaders through logical reasoning and effective communication.
- Strong business judgment with a pragmatic approach to achieving business outcomes.
- Experience managing global programs and working with product development teams.
- Previous experience in asset management and familiarity with IT service management frameworks.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate insights effectively.
