Mphasis is seeking a Senior Principal Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in application packaging and virtualization to lead a critical project for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of experience in application packaging and a deep understanding of virtualized environments, Citrix, and deployment processes. This role requires a passion for technology, strong team management skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Packaging. Manage and oversee the packaging of applications, including virtualized and MSI applications, ensuring they meet quality and deployment standards.
2. Virtualization & Citrix. Utilize expertise in App-V and Citrix environments to package and troubleshoot applications across various platforms, including Windows 7/10/Server and VDIs.
3. Deployment & Lifecycle Management. Ensure successful deployment and lifecycle management of packaged applications, including testing and troubleshooting.
4. Technical Documentation. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment procedures, administrative processes, architecture, known errors, workarounds, and application-specific details.
5. Incident & Change Management. Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes to resolve issues and manage changes effectively.
6. Team Management & Collaboration. Lead and mentor team members, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
7. Scripting & Automation. Utilize scripting skills (PowerShell, VBScript) for automation and management of application packaging and deployment processes.
8. Support & Flexibility. Provide flexible support, including night shifts if required, to ensure ongoing project and operational success.

Technical Skills

• Extensive experience in application packaging (virtualized and MSI).
• Proficiency in App-V and Citrix environments.
• Strong knowledge of packaging and troubleshooting across Windows 7/10/Server and VDIs.
• In-depth understanding of Wintel environments (DFS, Storage, Networking, AD).
• Expertise in SQL, WQL, WMI, PowerShell, and VB scripting.
• Solid process knowledge of application lifecycle management and deployment.
• Experience with App-V Management Console for both physical and virtual environments.

2. Experience. Over 9 years of experience in application packaging and virtualization.
3. Shift Flexibility. Willingness to support shifts, including night shifts if necessary.
