Emerson is seeking a talented Senior Developer with 6 to 10 years of recent experience in software development. As a Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing our Emerson Real-Time Modeling System (RTMS) and its integrations with major engineering platforms like Delta-V and Plantweb Optics.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- User Story Analysis. Understand customer needs and value through detailed user story analysis.
- System Development. Design, develop, and test the Emerson RTMS to ensure robust functionality.
- Integration Solutions. Create and test integrations between the RTMS and key engineering platforms.
- Collaborative Development. Work alongside our in-house professional services team to identify client needs and develop tailored features and solutions.
- Innovative Architecture. Collaborate with the software development team to design and architect innovative solutions.
- Automated Testing. Build automated tests for new product features, enhancing the reliability of our solutions.
- Technical Leadership. Provide guidance and technical leadership to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and disciplined software engineering practices.
- Documentation. Create clear documentation for both technical and non-technical users.
Development Stack
- Frontend. HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Lit.
- Backend. Node.js
- Databases. MSSQL or Oracle
For This Role, You Will Need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or a related field.
- A willingness to learn new technologies to meet organizational needs.
- 6+ years of industry experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or Lit.
- Proficiency in backend development using Node.js and database management with SQL Server or Oracle.
- In-depth understanding of software design patterns and their application.
- Experience designing computing-intensive systems and implementing software unit testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills and effective time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degrees (BE/BTech/MSc/MCA) in Computer Science/IT.
