We are seeking a skilled MySQL Database Administrator and Technical Lead to join our Production support team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and analytical abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to manage MySQL databases on AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of MySQL versions including community and enterprise editions, and integration with frontend applications using MySQL Workbench.
• Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments.
• Deployment of database schema changes and operational tasks.
• User access management and database security implementation.
• Development and adherence to project plans and operational policies in alignment with ISG standards.
• Regular backup procedures and recovery drills.
• Monitoring and optimization of server and service performance to ensure health and resource efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong working knowledge of Unix operating systems in AWS cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL installation, configuration, and administration.
• Proficiency in MySQL Workbench for database management and development tasks.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve database performance issues and other technical problems.
• Experience in implementing database security practices and access controls.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures for MySQL databases.
• Capability to monitor resource utilization and perform health checks for servers and services.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with other database technologies and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell scripting) for automation tasks.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices related to database management.
