Job Description

The Solution Representative (Data & AI) will be responsible for driving Data & AI solutions within the Public Sector in Singapore, working with senior client executives to address their most pressing challenges. This role will focus on building strong client relationships, delivering innovative solutions, and driving revenue growth through consultative selling. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sales process, developing tailored strategies, and working closely with IBM's cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Relationship Management. Build and nurture strong relationships with C-suite executives and key stakeholders in the Singapore Public Sector, becoming a trusted advisor in the areas of Data and AI transformation.
  2. Strategic Selling & Business Development. Lead the sales process from discovery through solution development to execution. Identify and prioritize new opportunities within the Public Sector, positioning IBM’s Data & AI offerings to address key client challenges and drive transformation.
  3. Industry Expertise. Develop a deep understanding of Public Sector trends, challenges, and business processes in Singapore. Use this insight to craft tailored, industry-specific solutions that leverage Data & AI technologies.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration. Work closely with IBM’s internal teams, including thought leaders, specialists, and executive leadership, to develop and deliver solutions that address the client’s business needs.
  5. Solution Development. Lead the development of comprehensive solutions that incorporate IBM’s cloud, AI, data analytics, and other capabilities. Align IBM’s technology stack with the unique needs of clients in the Public Sector.
  6. Revenue Growth. Drive sales and revenue for IBM’s Data & AI solutions across the Public Sector. Develop and execute an account plan to grow IBM's market share in the sector and secure long-term client partnerships.
  7. Account Planning and Execution. Take responsibility for the overall account strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the client’s business objectives and IBM’s capabilities. Drive the execution of the plan, working with internal teams to meet deliverables and exceed client expectations.
  8. Thought Leadership & Advisory. Provide thought leadership and industry insights during client interactions. Position IBM as a leader in Data & AI for the Public Sector by sharing relevant case studies, research, and best practices.
  9. Client Success and Support. Collaborate with client teams post-sales to ensure smooth delivery of services and solutions. Be a key point of contact for ongoing client support, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. Experience with Digital Transformation. Proven track record of leading Digital Transformation initiatives, particularly in Data & AI. Experience in the Public Sector is highly desirable.
  2. Public Sector Knowledge. In-depth understanding of the Singapore Public Sector, including government agencies, public institutions, and healthcare organizations. Knowledge of public sector challenges, regulations, and decision-making processes.
  3. Consultative Sales Experience. Strong experience in consultative selling, specifically in Data & AI. Ability to understand client business needs and create tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  4. Relationship Building with Executives. Ability to establish and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers, particularly within the C-suite (CIO, CTO, CFO, etc.), and align IBM’s solutions with their strategic goals.
  5. Cross-functional Leadership. Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and working with various internal stakeholders (sales, technical, operations, etc.) to drive project success.
  6. Excellent Communication Skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create compelling value propositions and effectively communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. IBM Product and Solution Knowledge. A deep understanding of IBM’s technology stack, including cloud computing, AI, machine learning, and data analytics. Familiarity with IBM’s public sector solutions is a plus.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. Experience with AI and Cloud Solutions. Hands-on experience with AI-powered solutions, cloud architectures, and data analytics platforms.
  2. Experience in Proposal Development. Ability to develop and present persuasive proposals to win new business in the Public Sector.
  3. Leadership and Mentoring Skills. Previous experience leading a team of sellers or consultants to support large, complex engagements.
